Assistant Secretary Remuneration – Pay Comparisons

The Association has from time to time commissioned independent experts to establish comparisons of remuneration for senior grades in the Irish civil service with comparable employment in the  private sector here as well as with comparable civil service grades in other jurisdictions. These studies have been carried out on our behalf by Mercer, one of the world’s largest human resource consultancy firms.

Strengthening Civil Service Performance & Accountability

In 2014, the Government launched a public consultation process on this important topic. The Association made a comprehensive submission to the process and this is published below along with the original consultation paper.
